Rise up!
I Know your scared, I can feel your anxiety, at where we are at.
I feel it too.
I understand.
It’s heavy,
like really heavy,
It’s full of thorns, it hurts unexpectedly,
It feels like salt in our wounds,
fears to our doubts,
I have them too.
Days can feel hopeless, someday you can’t get yourself to get up, out from underneath your blanket of comfort,
I know,
I feel it too.
I Will Be Strong For You.
I will be strong for you, so that we can be strong together.
For you, I will.
For you, I will rise up.
I’m not going down with this ship,
I will rise above,
even if I am left to fly alone.
I won’t go down with this boat,
I won’t go down as they vote,
for violence and greed,
destruction,
loss,
sadness & despair.
Not me,
not today,
not any day.
I will rise up,
for you, I will.
I Will Lift You.
I will lift you, and carry you, as long as I am able……and then I will fly too, above all.
I’m not going down,

with this town,
with the slain,
with the despair,
the lack of care.
